Let's Get Caught Up

So sorry our blog has been down and outdated for awhile.   Let's get caught up, shall we?

February had us thinking dried flower arranging as we patiently waded our way thru winter.  Martha Jo displayed many beautiful arrangements she made thru the years and that's one thing nice about dried flower arrangements; they last!  

 

March had us pressing our luck as we made lucky wood signs as we celebrated the luck of the irish with St. Patricks Day.  Kathleen Mink graciously supplied all the materials needed and everyone had fun putting their own spin on the luck!

But Kathleen didn't have much luck after a small spill!

 

April had us celebrating our Founders Day Banquet with a nice dinner in Circleville.

Everyone went home with nice door prizes, hand-crafted Thank-You cards and these beautiful spring flower arrangements.

 

Our May meeting was a tour of Blossoms at the Bend in Williamsport, Ohio.  A cutting-garden of rows and rows of beautiful peonies and other perennials.

 They graciously allowed each of us to take 3 cuttings home with us and boy was it hard to decide which ones!   So many beautiful peonies all in one spot! It was a beautiful site!

  We were given a tour of the old log cabin on the property and heard of some of it's history; very interesting!

Also in May we said good-bye to a very dear garden club member, Virginia Brokamp.

A past-president and garden club member for many years, we have so many fond and fun memories of times spent with her;  she was very much a pillar of the community and contributed so much to the club and to each us personally.  She will be very missed!!
