Never too early to start getting ready for Christmas. Our September meeting had us getting a head-start on making Christmas tree ornaments out of wine corks for our "2nd" club-sponsored tree at Deer Creek this year. (Every year at the lodge at Deer Creek State Park, LOTS of Christmas trees are on display and are beautifully-decorated by all the local garden clubs. We have always had one tree and our Jr. club has another; this year we decided to take on a 2nd tree; are we nuts?? :)
From super-cute little snowmen to a garland to candy canes; You will just need to check out the finished trees this year at Deer Creek to see for yourself!
We will post more details about the tree display as it gets nearer AND tell you about the fun "Open House" they have complete with a choir and maybe even Santa! Stay Tuned!
